Honda reveals new Honda Civic concept
Honda Siel Motors, The Japanese car pioneers showcased the new Honda Civic coupe and sedan concept at the Detroit Motor Show 2011. The company declared that the car has been designed keeping its focus on ‘the young at heart' which can be considered a challenge sinceHonda Civic dates back as long as forty years. The new car has been manufactured on the existing model;s mono form, one motion design but with elaborate lines. The car now exhibits an energetic, sleek and bolder look. Nonetheless, it has not lost on the tradition of carrying enduring and timeless design where function is followed by form. The company further revealed that the new Honda Civic will have a compact exterior but will offer ample of space and comfort. It'll also have the fun to drive element in it. Moreover the car will have a better fuel economy. The new avatar of the Honda Civic will be offered with three different powertrains which includes petrol version, hybrid Civic with lithium battery technology and natural gas powered version. Honda Civic petrol versions, apart from standard fuel efficiency ratings will also have Honda Eco assist technology that ensures careless drivers also achieve good fuel economy. The new Honda Civic sedan is speculated to launch in the first part of the year 2012. The car might first enter the Indian auto market as a petrol car followed by a diesel one later on. Other alterations include improvised comfort for passengers at the rear and changed rear suspension set-up The car is expected to be priced between 12 to 16 lac. Considering its popularity in its segment, these changes will further increase Honda's market share in India. New cars to look forward to this year include Tata Manza Elan, Volvo S60, Nissan Sunny, Maruti Cervo, Hyundai Avante, Toyota Etios Liva and Honda Brio.
