Oil Lamps – Fishermen's Friendly Companions
Oil lamps are ancient tools used to produce light for a longer period of time. They use an oil-based fuel source to continuously produce the light. This was used as an alternative for candles during the early times. This lamp consists of a pouring hole, a shoulder, handle, nozzle and the wick hole, the volute, the discus, and the fuel chamber. This lamp also requires the use of the wick to be properly used. Several fishermen out there on the sea use oil lamps as a source of light during dark nights at sea. They use this to conserve battery. These lamps have been used by both modern and ancient fishermen to light their path while fishing. These lamps are also being used to send signals and to make the boats or ships visible at night. As it is so dark out there on the sea at night, it is very essential to use lamps to avoid accidents. This is important even on long fishing sails and when some ships lose power they have to concentrate the energy on the steering and not the lighting. These lamps are very helpful to expedite the fishermen's work to make them safer. At the sea, everything could happen. Fishermen could find themselves in a situation where there is no light available thus it is very important to have lamps on every trip. Oil lamps are great investment. They are the friendly companions of fishermen out there. Indeed a must have for every fisherman.
